February might be almost over but we’re not quite ready to let amethyst go. Amethyst once the color of British royalty was also thought by the ancient Romans to protect from intoxication which was how it got it’s name. Once a highly valued stone, the Amethyst was sought after for it’s rich purple hue.
Today amethyst has kept it’s popularity and can be found in a variety of earrings, rings, necklaces and bracelets. Oftentimes paired with other semi-precious stones like Aquamarine, Blue Topaz, Citrine and Peridot, they make a delightfully colorful statement.
